The world famous CERN scientific centre offers fascinating 2 hour guided tours. Please note that these must be pre-booked and do not include the underground collider. More traditional excursions are available such as Hermance on the shores of Lake Geneva - one of the most picturesque villages of the region with preserved architecture and a beautiful church.

Relaxing lake cruises are a must do while you are here and the scenery is magnificent. You could even cruise to the French side of the lake and discover the medieval town of Yvoire with its flower-filled lanes. There are cruises on the River Rhône as well, allowing you to enjoy the unspoilt nature of its riverbanks. Visit the stunning Lavaux vineyard terraces near Vevey. You can walk amongst the vineyards or relax in one of the wine villages and taste the local produce. You can also visit the Old Town of Bern, with its distinctive red roofs and arcade, or travel La Chaux-de-Fonds, the home of watchmaking.

From Geneva you can make the short journey to Montreux to join the GoldenPass Line/Luzern-Interlaken Express to Interlaken and Lucerne. Alternatively, stay on until Visp to join the Glacier Express towards St. Moritz.
