The Sunstar is a real family hotel, situated in quiet grounds shared with the Sunstar Parkhotel, above the main promenade in Davos Platz. The minibus operates a shuttle service to the main lifts and the resort's frequent free ski bus stops in the street in front of the hotel. A real bonus for skiers is the Sunstar Parkhotel next door which has its own ski hire shop.

The hotel restaurant serves a four course dinner and buffet breakfast in a relaxed atmosphere and the cosy rustic Sennhütten bar is a perfect place to unwind after a day on the slops. The hotel is ideal for families with a playroom and playground with a children's club for 4 to 11 year olds. Other facilities include an indoor swimming pool, Finnish sauna, solarium and garden. Guests can also enjoy the use of the wellness centre in the adjacent Sunstar Parkhotel (payable locally)
