Situated in a quiet position but at the same time only about three minutes’ walk from the village centre, the Gornergrat railway or the Sunnegga funicular. The electric ski bus for the Kleine Matterhorn & Schwarzee cable cars stops about a 100m away.
There is an attractive and comfortable lounge with an open log fire burning in the hearth whilst in the evening the piano bar becomes the centre of social life. The charming dining room offers guests an excellent five course menu and a large salad buffet. There's a gala dinner every Friday and on another evening a special themed dinner. The food and service at the Mirabeau has been consistently praised by our guests for its quality and imagination. The hotel's beautiful à la carte restaurant is mentioned in both the Michelin and Gault Millau guides.
Amongst other facilities of the hotel are a swimming pool, sauna, Turkish bath & gym. The hotel also has an internet room. Under the personal direction of Sepp and Rosa Julen the Mirabeau offers guests every modern comfort in a beautifully furnished hotel where much use of wood in the decor creates the rustic ambience that one expects of an Alpine hotel. All of the bedrooms in the main building have been renovated. The friendly and attentive staff reflect the care and attention which Mr and Mrs Julen offer to their guests and in the eight years that the hotel has been featured in our brochure we have received nothing but compliments with many guests making a return visit.
