This exceptionally well appointed three star hotel is located in a quiet but convenient location close to the centre of Zermatt less than two minutes’ walk from the Gornergrat mountain railway or the ski bus that takes skiers to the Kleine Matterhorn cable car. Another few minutes brings you to the Sunnegga funicular (or you can take the little eco-friendly electric ski bus). There is an attractive dining room where you will be served a five course dinner whilst breakfast is laid out as an ample buffet that will set you up for your day on the slopes. Most weeks guests are offered either a "raclette party" one evening or "serata Italiano" dinner with Italian specialities. There's a charming bar which leads off of the lounge and this is a popular venue in the evenings where a pianist often provides a little background music. Other facilities of the Hotel Butterfly include a sauna and steam bath. You will be well looked after by Vreni Lembo who is on hand to look after her guests, ably assisted by her friendly, hard working team. This will be our 8th season at the Butterfly and already we have guests who have returned for further visits which speaks for the quality and ambience of this excellent 3 star hotel.
