In a tranquil position about eight minutes from the station and you can often ski back to the hotel. The hotel's little electric car can take you up to the station in the mornings whilst skis and boots can also be left at the ski depot overnight (next to the Männlichen cable car).
Well appointed and comfortable lounges with an open log fire burning in the hearth and a cosy bar which becomes a lively venue most evenings. The dining room is furnished with ample use of wood and here you will be served an excellent five course dinner and a generous buffet breakfast which will set you up for your day on the slopes. Once a week there is a candlelight dinner with a special menu and on another evening a fine buffet dinner. Ski room and a terrace overlooking the valley. Paul von Allmen's family have run the Alpenrose for several generations and together with his charming wife, Margaret, whose accent betrays her Scottish origins, offer fine food and good service in the friendly ambience of an Alpine hotel. Many guests return again and again as you'll discover at the weekly welcome drink hosted by Paul and Margaret. We have known the Alpenrose for nearly 25 years and have seen it develop into one of Wengen's best three star hotels. Highly recommended.
