High up in the Swiss Alps is a valley abounding in snowy mountains, frozen lakes and magical light. This is a world where the wonders of nature provide a magnificent setting to enjoy winter sports’ activities or just to relax in peace and quiet and where the sun shines 322 days a year. St. Moritz Dorf is the most
fashionable resort, nestling beneath the 3057m Piz Nair on the lakeside in a beautiful setting dominated by the surrounding mountains. St. Moritz has a busy centre full of high class shops and fine restaurants. Pontresina is much smaller with more charm, in marked contrast to glitzy St. Moritz.

The Engadin St. Moritz ski area is not just one but six areas altogether covering over 350km of prepared pistes making it the largest ski region in Switzerland. The lift pass covers the whole area and also allows free use of the ski bus or train linking all the ski areas. The high altitude guarantees good snow cover even on the lower slopes. The famous 'Snow-Safari' route offers kilometers of pure enjoyment and is a challenging trail to cross the wholeskiing area within one day.
The Corvatsch has character and charisma– its steep sides tower over the Engadin. Further up the valley, at the side, it joins the neighbouring area of Furtschellas, Sils. As well as the traditional slopes and pistes for everyday skiers, there are also challenging steep descents offering tremendous skiing fun, especially for experienced skiers. As they tend to be north facing they provide the best conditions later in the season.
Corviglia-Piz Nair-Marguns is the largest single skiing area in the Engadin. 23 lifts in winter take you up to the winter sports area at 3057m.There are nearly 100 km of well-prepared ski slopes to tempt all grades of skiers from beginners to experts alike as well as 14 mountain restaurants. Early risers can head up the mountain at 7.45am to make their first turns in the untouched south facing slopes at sunrise!
Diavolezza-Lagalb A glacier landscape offering a world of adventure. At 4049m, the Piz Bernina is the highest mountain in the Graubünden region and the Morteratsch/Isla Persa glacier run is the longest and most impressive in the Engadin. The slopes around the glacier chair lift and down to the valley can also be enjoyed by less experienced skiers. Directly opposit, the Lagalb gondolas ascend the King of Ski Mountains, which owes it title to its grandiose gradient. On the Diavolezza the full-moon skiing, 'Glüna Plaina' is regularly held, it offers pleasure for any genre when the adventourous venue shines in the mystic soft light.
Snowboarding A fabulous area with the outstanding Mellow Snow Park on Corviglia.
