The picturesque resort is made up of the two villages of Lenzerheide and Valbella situated at either end of the small frozen lake of Heidsee. The sun shines on both sides of the high valley offering over 155 km of perfectly prepared slopes, ideal for beginners and intermediate skiers with blue runs directly back to the village.
There is a wealth of varied skiing well supported by the free local ski bus which ensures efficient movement between the areas. A third of the skiing has the benefit of additional artificial snow keeping the area well covered into the middle of April when the lifts finally close. The attractive lower pistes below the mid-stations are wide runs through wooded areas, where the skiing is excellent. Scalottas at 2,323m has the benefit of the morning sun whilst the east slopes up to 2,865m at the Rothorn have the afternoon sun. In this wonderful and varied ski extravaganza it is possible to ski
clockwise right around Lenzerheide and Valbella starting from the lift at Val Sporz and finish back at the Postbus station in Lenzerheide. In no time at all 40 modern transport facilities smooth your way around a wide variety of downhill runs, sunny panoramic terraces and alpine restaurants.
Resort Facilities
Tobaggan Toboganning runs here are very popular and also offer night sledging. You can even combine it with a walk, have fun speeding downhill from Scharmoin or follow up with a leisurely evening meal.
Winter walking The high valley is stunning with its white peaks and clear blue skies and with a total of over 80km of prepared hiking trails this is definitely worth doing.
Cross country skiing Lenzerheide has 52km of tracks which take you through the high valley area and are freshly prepared every day. There is 1km of circular track flood lit in Lenzerheide and it is open for all to use in the evening.
Bob run The bob run winds round 31 bends covers 3,100 metres down to the valley. The ride begins from the mountain restaurant down to the valley station in Churwalden and takes around 7-10 minutes. Luckily there is a break lever so you can
determine your own speed!
Baby Sitting The Kinderland which is located in the Hotel Schweizerhof is open to the public. 10 Sfr per hour per child daily 09.30-17.00. To include lunch is an extra 10Sfr per child per day. Full day is 50Sfr. This would need to be booked at least 24 hours in advance
Kids play There is plenty to do for the children including the Globi kids programme which has everything your children could wish for such as igloo building, fairy tale hour and magic shows.

Apres Ski
Lenzerheide has a wide variety of choice when it comes to relaxing after a day on the slopes. There are plenty of bars including the Chämi Bar in the Hotel Sunstar with live music and dancing or the Slalom bar with Pop and Rock music. For a lively night there is the Stall Bar dancing club at the Hotel Pöstli. For a quiet and relaxing evening there are plenty of cosy pubs and restaurants.
